Salvation Army

My Impact:
Worked with one woman to see her potential as she was trying to juggle school with highly limited resources and a small child. She found the support of the Salvation Army as a way to find ways to eat and interact with others and she works on getting an education.

Lessons Learned:
You know, the biggest thing for me is the reinforcement of we do not know what others are going through and we can find those in need and have a desire to climb out of poverty in the most unexpected places. It is also learning to stay humble and watchful of ways I can help others. And finally, it is realizing I have many connections who can also help others if I remain open to being a connector.
