Katherine Harvey Fellows

My Impact:
Katherine Harvey Fellows is a program of the Santa Barbara Foundation for young professional program that introduces philanthropy, contribution of service to the community, and leadership to young professionals identified as potential community leaders for the community of Santa Barbara. Each cadre includes between 25 and 30 people and the program runs eighteen months. The group is split into teams that develop projects addressing local issues. The KHF program provides mentors to each participant; I will be serving as a mentor for the 2017 class.

Lessons Learned:
A great reminder on the energy, enthusiasm, and passion of young people; no problem to small or large, creative problem solving, not taking “no” for an answer, and very engaged with their world and those around them.
